Monterey's Summer

October is Monterey's official summer.
When it's sunny we spend every possible minute outside.
Ha Jyn loves looking for treasures on the beach as do I.

The endeavour flew over Monterey. Unfortunately I did
not get a very clear picture of it, but it was still fun to watch.
Now the kids think that every airplane is a space shuttle.

The Three Amigos, making trouble and having fun.

Getting ready for fall and Halloween.

More beach time.
We also found a fresh Seafood store we love to go to. Most of the time there is some sort of sea animal that is still alive, like this squid or an octopus of some sort for Ha Jyn to play with. It just depends what they caught that day.

BBQ on the beach with Boo's team leader.
His wife, Dong Ah is quickly becoming one of Ha Jyn's favorite people. She gets
spoiled by her every time they meet.

Boo gets some random holidays off from time to time.
Earlier this month we explored a new part of Big Sur, Pfieffer Beach on Columbus day.

Ha Jyn stared a Pee Wee soccer club.  She gets really shy
around big groups of kids, but we are going to keep trying for a while to see if she likes it.

We recently discovered that low tide= awesome tide pools at a
beach by our house.  We try to go once a week so Ha Jyn can play with her "sticky octopus".

A couple weeks ago we went to a pumpkin patch for one
of Ha Jyn's friend's birthday party. I thought the
pig races were the best part. Tomorrow is a big day for us.
We find out with kind of baby we are having and Ha Jyn is over the moon for Halloween this year!
Until tomorrow!

Catching up

I thought that my computer was gone forever. But after going to
Dr. Boo turns out all she needed was a a keyboard repair.
So nice to have her up and running.

Lately we have been spending as much time as possible
outside at parks, on the beach or fishing at the pier.
Here's Ha Jyn with one of Boo's catches named, "Brown".

Ha Jyn putting her Papa to bed.

A trip to Gilroy to go to Gilroy Gardens (a theme park for toddlers).
We went with our friends the week before they moved away (sniff sniff).
We use to do date night swaps with them, so Ha Jyn and their son
Will got to be close friends.

Our good friends came for a short visit.
SoungEun and Boo grew up together.
We finally got to meet his adorable wife and kids.

JoonHee and Ha Jyn hit it right off.  And by the time they were ready to leave
I was making plans to kidnap little Yuna.

Ha Jyn and I have been having great times with Jason and Celine everyday.
I love this picture of Celine and Ha Jyn they look so little and cute!

Then I see pictures like this and I see what big girls they are
and how fast they have grown!

My sweet 29-teen

I know at some point I am not suppose to be excited about
birthdays and getting another year older.
I love my birthday and I'll probably still love it for the next fifty or so years.
This year was a great birthday as well as a great start to a new year of my life.

Flowers, chocolates, card and presents from Boo.

Having Ha Jyn to help celebrate makes it one thousand times better.

Couldn't resist having some chocolate for breakfast.
A Ha Jyn approved breakfast for sure!
A surprise party from the McGrews!
I went expecting to throw my own party with the kids
and instead had a bigger and better one thrown for me!
That combined with gift cards to my favorite clothing store made me
one happy woman!

My Cake

A little help from my friends.

Getting ready for my birthday calamari
after a nice walk on the beach.
Baby number two LOVES calamari!

The County Fair came into town the weekend
after my birthday. I annually stretch my birthday celebrations
for as long as possible. So the fair was a must.
Ha Jyn loved the pigs. She kept saying,
"They are so beautiful!"
