Update update

We've been updating our apartment a little bit more.
Here's a panoramic of our living/dining room.
We got a sofa-bed in and settled it on the one wall it fits on. Only
to find out that my desk was preventing it from opening into a bed.
So we traded in Boo's huge desk for two small ones and got some new storage for the
living room.

Our "office"

When I say "our" I really mean all three of us.
I get daily surprises in my desk, via Ha Jyn.

Ha Jyn at Ikea. My favorite update is our new cheap-o red dome
light fixture. The other 1980's-Gag-every-time-you-see-it chandelier
was awful!

This post is probably boring to everyone but me.
But with a new baby on the way I am obsessed with staying here.
The rent is good, we are close to two parks, a soccer field, the beach, bike path, we have an
outside/garden space. I just want to stay here as long as possible.
Our friends gave us this table they made, so now we have a picnic area on our porch.

Crappy lighting, but here's the new flooring in the bathroom.
Definitely worth the $14 it cost.

Ha Jyn is geting so excited for Christmas I LOVE it!!
She loves to sing along to the Christmas music we listen to.
Her favorites are: 'Papa's getting nothing for Christmas' and 'I saw
Papa kissing Santa Clause.'

Cereal necklace day.

Beach day

Our thanksgiving Turkey

Celine and Ha Jyn enjoying the Crab on Thanksgiving

Celine to a T: Mostly Princess and Part-Shark.

I LOVE December in Monterey. There are tons of
free events to celebrate the holidays.

Petting Zoo.

Santa

The Chicken I was contemplating as a new pet.

Free rides

Boo on this ride totally made my December. Everyone else was
probably four and under. Ha Jyn wouldn't go by herself so he went with her.
Boo got all the kids putting their hands in the air and screaming. It was pretty hilarious.

Free Aquarium day.

Korean Class with Papa. (and my new light fixture)

The light parade

Singing at the beach.

Butterfly day at the museum.

Catching up part one

Humm now that Thanksgiving has come and gone I guess
I should post some more Halloween pictures! Wouldn't want to be punctual!
We've had lots of changes in our little apartment. We decided to become
a one car family. With the money we got from our second car
we bought bikes, some furniture put some money in savings.
Boo now rides his bike to work and we have been spending lots of
time going on bike rides all together.  Two trips to IKEA later we are living like kings.
Now we have genuine IKEA instead of Craig's-listed IKEA!
With our second kid on the way we needed to make some adjustments so that
we could still fit in our current apartment.

My pink butterfly witch

Ha Jyn and Boo-stashio!

Painting her pumpkin pink of course!

 Our son!!
I still have to remind myself that he is not a girl.
I just always thought I would have all girls like my mom.
My poor baby, I promise not to dress you up in to much pink.
We are having a tough time naming this little guy. We are 100% sure on his
English middle name and 0% sure on what his Korean first name will be.
So if you know any good Korean boy names, send them our way!

One thing is for sure,
Baby Boy loves in n' out hamburgers!
Good thing we don't live close to any!
The only fast food hamburgers I have eaten since I was eleven have
been in the last four months at in n'out. The vegetarian in me cringes,
but the kid likes meat what can I say!
"Look Mom, no hands!"

In other news Ha Jyn now dresses herself most days.
She's got style if you ask me!

On veterans day we went up to San Francisco with our bikes.
Between the bike riding, crabbing and ikea-ing it was an awesome day!

Monterey's Summer

October is Monterey's official summer.
When it's sunny we spend every possible minute outside.
Ha Jyn loves looking for treasures on the beach as do I.

The endeavour flew over Monterey. Unfortunately I did
not get a very clear picture of it, but it was still fun to watch.
Now the kids think that every airplane is a space shuttle.

The Three Amigos, making trouble and having fun.

Getting ready for fall and Halloween.

More beach time.
We also found a fresh Seafood store we love to go to. Most of the time there is some sort of sea animal that is still alive, like this squid or an octopus of some sort for Ha Jyn to play with. It just depends what they caught that day.

BBQ on the beach with Boo's team leader.
His wife, Dong Ah is quickly becoming one of Ha Jyn's favorite people. She gets
spoiled by her every time they meet.

Boo gets some random holidays off from time to time.
Earlier this month we explored a new part of Big Sur, Pfieffer Beach on Columbus day.

Ha Jyn stared a Pee Wee soccer club.  She gets really shy
around big groups of kids, but we are going to keep trying for a while to see if she likes it.

We recently discovered that low tide= awesome tide pools at a
beach by our house.  We try to go once a week so Ha Jyn can play with her "sticky octopus".

A couple weeks ago we went to a pumpkin patch for one
of Ha Jyn's friend's birthday party. I thought the
pig races were the best part. Tomorrow is a big day for us.
We find out with kind of baby we are having and Ha Jyn is over the moon for Halloween this year!
Until tomorrow!
