Christmas time is here again!!! Christmas trees, Christmas cards, christmas re-vamped house and a Christmas 11 month baby

2007
Our first married christmas
Hawaii

2008 Korea
2009 Monterey
2010 Monterey
We were going to use last year's tree,
but Boo made a rule that from now on our
Christmas tree has to be taller than Ha Jyn.
I agree.
Seeing that we both top out at about 5'3 I don't really see
to big of trees in our future!

In other news it was discovered how hard getting a
few simple Christmas photos can be....

One second it's this
and a half second later...

I tried a second day to get a better shot,
but the lighting was no good and Ha Jyn was
wanting nothing to do with it.

Ha Jyn is now 11 months old!
This last month was big changes for her.
She now crawls and gets into EVERYTHING!
It is like my best friend Kelli says,
"When they are babies all you want them to do is walk and talk.
When they get older all you want them to do is to sit down and shut up!"
With her new found independence Ha Jyn loves to investigate and
much like her mother if food is involved she suddenly appears right next to you. She eats everything. She even likes Kim Chi!
She also loves to be dramatic. (she must get that from her father!)
Changing her diaper has become an Olympic sport.
She no longer signs for "more" instead she grunts or fake cries.
All in all she is a very happy kid.
And more than anything she loves to be around other kids.

Here she is with her best buddy Celine.
They know how to PARTY!

We finally sold our table and now Ha Jyn has her play room.

Thanks Granny J for the Santa slippers!

Our new crooked curtains.
I got this fabric for way cheap on clearance at IKEA.
To be honest it was the 1st time I have bought fabric and I sorta
forgot about how the fabric is folded. So I basically bought twice as much as I needed.
Oh well lets just say I have found ways to get rid.... I mean use the rest of it.

Adventures in Colorado a picture happy post

I spent the last week in Colorado with my best friend
of the last 14 or so years. Her husband was on a hunting trip so
Kelli very generously used a voucher she had and flew Ha Jyn and I back home.
Even though we have not lived in the same state for over
a decade when we see each other it is always as if no
time has passed. She is
married and has four kids and I am married with a kid but despite that we are pretty much the
exact same as we were at age 13.
It was so much fun spending time with her boys.
Ha Jyn loved all the commotion. She learned
so much from watching Kelli's boys.
In the week that she was with them she learned how to crawl,
pull herself up and now really loves to play with her toys.
A couple of nights Kelli had to work and with her husband out of town
it was just me and five kids under the age of five.
They were great kids and very easy to bribe!
I would say the toughest part were just the logistics of the
youngest three. Ha Jyn and Vance, Kelli's youngest are only 7 months
apart. Luckily everything went amazingly smooth.
It was so much fun to see my old neighborhood and go to the same children's museum
that I went to as a kid.
The worst part as always is coming back home and missing
and getting homesick for Kelli!

Ha Jyn just before our flight home.
She made sure to save all her crying for inside the plane.

Nolan, Kelli's almost 2 year old
Diaper heads
Ha Jyn loved being around all her friends
No wonder I had so many boyfriends in High School
Myles and Truman in a fort they found on their property
Nolan's awesome outfit
Playing on a playground that I use to play on as a kid.

Maggie sleeping.

Truman, I love this kid!
Ha Jyn's new wheels
Ha Jyn loves Truman too!

The Children's Museum.
We told Myles that we were going to a poop
factory, but he did not buy it!

Turkey day

Boo and I always love this time of year.
It is even better with Ha Jyn around.
We have had a lot of fun watching her
react to all the things of this season.
She thinks it is awesome that we have a
tree with red and green balls on it. She feels
it her personal mission to pull them off whenever possible!
Playing with her friends in the morning.
We had a great time with our friends on thanksgiving.
We had Korean food for thanksgiving and pie for desert.
The combination sent me into a food coma. I literally slept
from 9P.M. to 8 the next morning.

Ha Jyn and her friend Celine really know how to party!
They are both at the stage where they love to stand,
so this basket was a big hit!

It has been getting really cold!
I don't remember it being this cold last year.
But than again, this time last year I had a lot more insulation.
When I was a kid every thanksgiving I would
raid my dad's drawer that had all his old t-shirts in it and wear
it while watching the Macy's thanksgiving day parade.
The tradition lives on!!

Ha Jyn and I are going to Colorado tomorrow!
We are going to stay with my best friend Kelli.
I am so excited I think Ha Jyn is going to love being around
Kelli's four boys!
So until next time smile big, especially if you have
a piece of uncontrollable hair!
