Ha Ha Comes to visit~ Finally I can update!!

My sister Carly known to
her nieces and nephews as Ha Ha came to visit over two
weeks ago. I have tried and tried to upload the pictures and finally
with my trouble shooting team (Ha Ha) realized my camera was taking
ginormous pictures.
So after a few nights with my teacher google, I was
able to re size the pictures.

On Ha's first day, for some reason there were millions of
Jelly Fish at the wharf.
We harvested our vegetable garden for dinner the first night
Ha ha was here. Lettuce grows amazingly well in Monterey.
The lettuce is already starting to grow back.
Farmer Ha Jyn
Carly Gump
I was able to score some free tickets to the
aquarium. Ha Jyn has been three other times,
but that darn uterine wall was always in her way!
She loved seeing all the animals!
And Playing with Ha ha
This is a water tunnel that I somehow
missed all the other times I have been there.
Some advice to live your life by....
We also got to go to San Francisco again.
It was fun to take Ha Jyn now that she is a little older.
Here she is with the golden gate bridge.

I LOVE San Francisco!!

Yummy turtles in China Town
Vegetarian goose is my favorite!
Enjoying the views atop her Papa's head
my new favorite picture of my favorite people
Ha ha read about this place. I was
worried it was going to be really boring,
but it was beautiful!!!
Thanks Ha! We would have never got to
see it if it were not for her!
must kiss chubby cheeks, must kiss chubby cheeks!
Giving Ha Ha a bobo!

The ocean was CRAZY the whole time Carly was here.
We were scheduled to go on a whale tour,
but it got canceled due to high winds.
The waves were crazy and the tides were higher than I
have ever seen!
Pelicans hang'n out.
One fat harbor seal!
We had a great time with Ha Ha!
It was so much fun for Ha Jyn to get to spend time with her.
Now Ha ha has to come back so we can go on that
whale watching tour!
(Ha if you come back in about two months from now we will
harvest the garden for you!!)

Baby Ha Jyn is 8 months old!!!

Today is Ha Jyn's 8 month birthday!
It is hard to believe how fast time flys.
She's been busy in her 7th month of life.
Working on her MBA,
dancing,
bowling,
Starting to crawl (moonwalk style),
sippy cups,
mohawk pigtails,
eating fruit.
We decided to feed her only vegetables for awhile
in attempt to save her from inheriting my sweet tooth (teeth).
Looks like she is not a banana feen like me,
but she goes more for carrots like her
Granny J!
I am really excited for all her changes and
seeing different aspects of her personality
unfold. She loves to laugh and is super laid back
and love, love, loves her puppy Juny, (and her Papa and Mama)
Yesterday PBS had a special on Playing for change special caught my eye.
I had it on in the background while Ha Jyn played.
She loved it and was doing her dance,
Which inspired a Bob Marley song I always sing to her.
Here's a video of her dancing.
Caution you are going to hear me sing....
I really should learn the rest of the words to this song!
Here is Ha Jyn Bowling

Ha Jyn's 1st labor day

Ha Jyn's new hair style.
Why? because why have two when you
can have three?

Now that Ha Jyn has two teeth she
started brushing them every night.
She LOVES her toothbrush!

We walked to one of our favorite spots in
Monterey to celebrate not having to labor.
Ha Jyn has a new smile. She just started to
stick out her tongue every time she smiles.
It is hilarious!
giving her boyfriend the stink eye!

I met up with my friend from the swimming
aerobics class I was in when we were both pregnant.
We took our kids to the county fair.
Ha Jyn's favorite exhibit was the grass...

"Are you the nanny?"..."Yes I am, my first pay check will come any day now!"

So a while ago I got asked the question, the one that inwardly has me visioning a nice
karate kick to the head.....
"Are you her nanny?"
First off, let me paint the setting.
I am walking the dog..
in my Mom jeans..

with a muffin top..
(this is some other poor soul's not mine)
wearing my moby wrap..

all signs point to your stereotypical Mom.

my answer.... "ummm no"

Some thought-up answers a month afterwards.
"Yeah I am such a great nanny I even gave birth to her!"
"Yup 24/7 Nanny"
"umm are you blind?"
"Nope, want to see my stretch marks?"
"Oh I knew I forgot to return something"

The thing is that person meant no harm.
And the other thing is I DONT want my kids to look like me.
Lets face it folks, I was never in the run for being a beauty queen.
When I first started college I remember reading an article about
how people subconsciously date others that have features one would
want for their offspring. It made total sense to me.
It's providing a better life for your kids before they are even in-utero.
When Ha Jyn came out with brown eyes and brown hair, I was ecstatic.
Not saying that I only married Boo for his good looks. ( I really married
him for his money)
But I was just excited that she has brown eyes that sparkle
and that they don't bulge out so much that people think she has
graves disease. (like mine)
At the same time I want it to be very clear that I am my babies mom!
I don't want any one else to have that right.
So the solution.. Clairol Number 68.
Haven't been asked since.

Hear other women with the same problem, great article via my sister Jenn

Santa Cruz to go get booze....

.... Or I mean to celebrate a belated b-day.

On Wednesday we made a quick half-day trip up to
Santa Cruz to celebrate my birthday.

Ha Jyn love, love, loves to play in her Papa's car!

There was a lot of traffic so we did not
have a lot of time to do things.
Havin fun with my beach babe!
