Since most people live in small apartments here they don't have room for dogs. So I find that when I do see a dog, that is one that can't be mistaken for a rat I gawk at it the way normal women my age gawk at babies. These puppies were really really cute. I had a hard time leaving them. One even shook my hand goodbye.

If you guys lived closer I could get you a Daschaund/Heeler mix dog for free. Apparently they are VERY unusual looking-almost ugly according to Bree
