Here in our church we have six missionaries. We try to have them over about once a month. Last weekend I made Americanized Mexican food. In America that kind of meal would have been horrible, but here my fine cooking/microwaving skills were appreciated.
Friends from church who came to experience the wrath of my cooking.
Where we live there is a shortage of big dogs. Juny has made friends with the only other big dog that we have seen in Changwon. Her name is Ya Cha, she is a malamute. We arrange play dates with her owner Sung Mee. Sung Mee also has a smaller dog named Asura. They like to run in circles when they get together. We went hiking a few weeks ago and found this Praying Mantis. I was praying too, that it would not kill me and my dog.
Boo and Juny on our hike.
Every night we come home from work, to find the bed all messed up. This night it was especially bad. She knows that she is not allowed up there, so she waits until we leave to take her nap on our bed. If you look at the picture up close she looks crazy. (Cray Cray)
Juny Ju sharpening her teeth just in case she needs to bite you!
She looks a little drunk here.
Juny with her new house. She cries every time we put her in it. Boo's mom (who I think has hidden super powers) sent us tons of chestnuts. She is really little, but the package she sent us had to weigh about 30 pounds. I am convinced she is hiding some sort of supper power like the incredibles from us. If you know of any nice ways to use chestnuts please let me know. So far all I know is all the girls in my family are getting chestnut earrings for Christmas!
For those of you who know me well and the unfortunate ones who have lived with me you know I have an addiction. I like to call it a talent. I can eat five banana's a day and not realize it. I love bananas they are cheap, tasty and always satisfying. People have gone to great lengths to help me fight my addiction. Some include writing their name on the bananas they hope to eat before I got to them. This worked until I forgot what my name was due to lack of potassium in my body. I could have sworn my name was Allison! (Sorry Cousin Allison!) Or my mom would try to hide them, but it became a replay of the hide and seek game gorillas play at the Zoo. The Gorilla ALWAYS find the banana and so did I! Anyways here is some Banana art I found on a Korean web site. Long live the banana!!
I have found a new thing to distract me from doing productive things in my life. It is called the Selby. It show's pictures of designers, artists and otherwise eccentric people's homes. One day I will have the Orange with white trim San Fransisco house of my dreams, or the Oct angular house in Hawaii with the Ocean in it's back yard, or the ranch style house in the middle of nowhere Africa, or the Queens Cosby-style town house, or the Korean High Rise. One Day...... Check it out if you need something to help to you procrastinate.. www.theselby.com
Last weekend was the mythical birthday of Korea. (개천절) It's believed that that is the day that Korea was placed on the earth. As for me I am willing to celebrate anything that will get me a day off of work. We celebrated by going to visit Boo's brother Yong Ha. His wife Jin Ju and their kids Yoe Jin and Hyung Jun. We ate really good food, stayed at a nice house and had fun fishing together.
My cute Nephew 형준 watching the boats in the ocean.
Boo is turning into my dad. It is a little scary. A few days ago I caught him watching the fishing channel while practicing tying knots with fishing line. I think he may be in the process of balding as well. This was his big catch of the day.
My niece and nephew keeping busy while everyone was fishing.
This is a cool looking fish that Boo caught.

I have a confession to make. I am no longer a strict vegetarian. I have been a strict vegetarian for over 12 years. But I have caved into the delicious sea food of Korea. I only eat fish, squid and octopus. I feel like I have betrayed myself, but when I see Barbecued mackerel it is as if all my life long standards vanish into thin air! Umm I want to eat mackerel right now!
I would say the official Korean name for these kinds of parks, but neither Boo or I know the name of them. They are all over Korea. They are great. You take your shoes off and walk on the path of rocks. All the while receiving a luxurious foot massage. The shape and size of the rock changes throughout the path.
This picture of Boo is fuzzy, but you can see the different types of rocks here.
You can't really tell from the confused look on my face, but I am really enjoying myself.
In two weeks Juny Ju will turn four months old. She is truly a Princess. But no worries because I am still the Queen! She has new tricks of: Sitting, Shaking, laying down, rolling over, chewing door frames, laying on our bed when we aren't at home and attempting to attack old ladies when they try and greet her. But the good still out way the bad and our lives are much more rounded with her in it!
Juny enjoying sitting on human furniture.
Her first day out of house arrest!
Juny and I having a good time at the park we walk to everyday.
